Ashley Bencan is a nationally recognized education leader, policy strategist, and advocate with over 17 years of experience spanning classrooms, state agencies, universities, and nonprofits.
From her early days as a Teach For America educator — where she secured $40,000 in grants and was honored as a Ruth Hayre Wright Teacher of the Year finalist — to shaping large-scale initiatives at the New Jersey Department of Education, Ashley has remained laser-focused on equity, systems change, and workforce development in education.
She’s led organizational change, built cross-state partnerships, and designed scalable solutions that support teachers, school leaders, and the broader education workforce.
