If you wish to delete your Knowtion profile and your user data, please follow the steps below to submit a request for your account and data to be deleted from the platform.

Please note that to maintain data continuity on our platform, your public comments will remain even after your account is deleted (unless they were removed by our admins). However, your name and profile will no longer be visible, and the authorship of the comment will display as "Inactive user".

Step 1:

Log into Knowtion, go to your profile by clicking the top right corner and choosing "My Profile," or click the bars icon if you are using the Knowtion mobile app.

Step 2:

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select "Request to delete my Knowtion account."

Step 3:

You will be asked to type in the email address you use to access Knowtion (as a security measure) and check the box to accept the terms of the account removal. Then, click "Submit request."

Step 4:

After submitting the request, you will see a success screen and receive an email confirming that your request has been received.

Processing the request typically takes up to one week. During this time, you will be able to access your Knowtion account as usual.

Step 5:

Once the Knowtion team processes your request, your account will be deleted along with every piece of data collected and connected to your user profile, with the exception of comments you made on the public side of Knowtion (e.g., answers to Q&A, comments, etc.). In these cases, your comments will remain visible, but they will be attributed to "Inactive user."

Once the removal process is finished, you will receive one final email from Knowtion confirming that your account and data have been removed.

Should you decide to sign up to Knowtion again at any point in time, you are welcome to do so!
